Possessing a slim figure, Elanne Kong favors healthy eating habits over fasting to keep off the pounds. “I am absolutely not in favor of not eating! I have a simple vegetable soup recipe, which I make. I drink the soup as dinner three times a week.”

“The soup ingredients include one onion, three green peppers, five tomatoes, one cabbage, and half a celery stalk. This soup will cleanse the stomach and clear constipation.”

Elanne prefers eating fresh fruit for breakfast, such as kiwis and papaya. Blending papaya and milk together makes a great smoothie that gives fuel to the body.

Jayne: Since Elanne’s soup recipe incorporates plenty of vegetables and contains no meat, it contains low calories and plenty of fiber. Cabbage is an excellent source of Vitamins K and C and fiber. Cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage contain phytonutrients that signal our body to increase the production of enzymes in the detoxification process. Tomatoes contain a phytonutrient called lycopene that has powerful antioxidant and cancer-preventing properties.

Elanne’s soup sounds like a great recipe and you can flavor with garlic, cilantro, pepper or your favorite herbs and spices for a more flavorful mix.

I think Asian celebrities are already skinny enough. Yes, we have good genes regarding that. On the contrary to western ones, they need to gain some weight, some muscle definition. PLEASE add some protein to the diets. Hit the gym and weight-train!
They either look frail skinny or haven’t lifted a pound in their whole life. Personally I prefer sculpted and toned-look but I guess beauty is in the eye of beholder.

PAGE, the Asian ideal of a good female figure is to be skinny. You have to also remember that many of the men seem to be very slim and not necessarily very muscular or toned, especially the Hong Kong guys.

Also weight training to achieve muscle tone needs regular maintenance, otherwise it’s easy to lose muscle tone and turn into fat again.

Yeah. That’s true. I have been asked once if more ‘feminine’ guys are preferred in Hong Kong. I laughed at that.

I knew the girls were impossibly skinny. Like people would think that they are suffering from anorexia or something. and they do strive after being this skinny.

Yeah, it also applies to skinny people as well not only those who train. We lose at least 1 pound of muscle every passing year after turning certain age, and straight into fat. It’s especially alarming for those skinny ones who have very little muscle to begin with.
