One of the largest film festivals in East Asia. The 15th Annual Shanghai International Film Festival was held from June 16th to 24th, in which the biggest stars in Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan attended.

Beautiful Gowns

Cecilia Cheung was easily one of the best dressed at the closing ceremony of the Shanghai International Film Festival. Cecilia wore a Roberto Cavalli silver dress, with an embroidered top and flowing silk skirt. Keeping her accessories to a minimum, Cecilia left her hair flowing down her back, which framed her beautiful features.

Jackie Chan was surrounded by beautiful Chinese Zodiac <十二生肖> costars, Zoe Zhang and Yao Xingtong at the Shanghai Film Festival. Zoe Zhang sparkled in an Emily Ma silver and black mermaid-style dress. Yao Xingtong wore a stunning Reem Acra blue wedding dress, full of beautiful ruffles and romance! Yao  Xingtong’s dress is my favorite gown at the Shanghai International Film Festival!

Li Bingbing has become the new face of Gucci, filming a series of campaign ads for the luxury brand. At the Shanghai International Film Festival, Li Bingbing wore a stunning Gucci gown in sheer black, carrying an effortless image of rich style and elegance.

Playful Looks

Charlene Choi sparkled in a playful Versace dress with gold metal accents. The layered dress was all flirty fun, while Charlene dressed up the look with diamonds from the Piaget Limelight collection. The bold design of Charlene’s platform heels complement her jewelry choice.

Ron Ng’s girlfriend, Viann Zhang went wild with a Dolce & Gabbana leopard-print silk dress. Viann wore the dress with a matching cape while walking down the red carpet, which made the dress too busy. The dress itself was a bold statement and looked better without the cape. The gold earrings and thick black eyeliner completed Viann’s dangerous, predatory look.

Romance is in the Air!

Chrissie Chau wore a white flowing dress from Hong Kong’s renown designer, Barney Cheng. The dress can easily pass for a wedding dress!

Joey Yung looked the part of a siren in a scarlet Bottega Veneta halter dress, while linking arms with mainland actor, Hu Ge.  Joey Yung has been headlining tabloids with her new romance with Wilfred Lau, while allegedly deeply hurting “intimate friend” Denise Ho.

Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are currently one of the hottest couples in mainland China. Yang Mi wore a Shiatzy Chen shimmery white gown that can easily pass as a bridal gown. Drawing inspiration from her fairy tale romance with Hawick Lau, Yang Mi donned a tiara and looked the part of a princess.

    1. Veejay says:

Cecilia, LeeBingBing and Charlene are the best dress among the rest!. Second with Joey and the 2 Chinese actresses who accompany Jackie. The worst dresser would goes to Viann, too busy imo.

    2. Hannahh says:

Charlene has the best dress and she look so beautiful. Hawrick n YangMi is soo cute together,

    3. Funn Lim says:

Where is my idol, Fukuyama Masaharu with his high heels and super tight pants?!?!?

And Hawick and Yang Mi is like wedding gown and all.

      • Funn Lim says:

Cecilia Cheung looks frumpy. THe dress does not help her to enhance her figure.

Li BIng BIng is probably the only one who looks like she is walking the red carpet. The rest is either too simplistic like some product launch or too much.

I actually didn’t like any of the dresses.

Cecilia – made her hips huge. Face and hair, as mentioned, were great.
Jacky Chan’s two barbies – meh. they weren’t that great looking. I thought they were okay only.
LiBingBing – the top looked really nice but the bottom velvet material was too much for the summer.
Ah Sa – the outfit is probably my favorite. she knew she’s just a green leaf so she shouldn’t attempt to steal any limelight. it’s not a red carpet dress but more of a nice dinner/party dress though.
viann zhang – women is a bit on the crazy side. a full leopard dress was too much, it would be nicer if it was a more subtle blend.
yang mi and harwick – down to earth and simple, not too bad. helps that they are both beautiful!

        • Jayne says:

I wasn’t sure if Cecilia’s waist had thickened as a result of the childbirth or the dress made it look thicker than necessary. However, the bodice detail along with the drape of the skirt is enough to divert your attention from her middle. The only thing that would have made it better would be a lighter silver color for the dress, to brighter it more. Currently, the color is more gray than silver.

While Viann’s leopard print and cut of the dress was a bit overboard, her attire was a scene stealer, for better or worse. Leopard or animal prints are best in small doses.

I have always been fond of baby blue colors in evening gowns and princess-like full skirts. So thumbs up for the Reem Acra blue dress.

        • TVBFanatic says:

Looking at other pictures from the event it is the dress and the camera angle. Other pictures of the same dress don’t look so ‘wide’ and there are pictures of her in a black dress promoting her recent movie that show her waist to be much slimmer.

I will say she is still has a very beautiful face, lovely eyes and I love that she kept her hair simple.

        • Funn Lim says:

Charmaine was at the awards ceremony? Her dress looks familiar to Li Bing Bing’s except Li Bing Bing’s looks more red carpet.

Jayne, I demand you post Fukuyama Masaharu under men’s fashion. His high heels alone will make you either go Yeah! or like me, NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

    4. ita says:

the only dress that catch my eyes is cecilia, unique detail and style, she look elegant with minimal accessories and let down her hair. The dress make her look elegant, simple yet unique. Li bing bing dress is quite nice until i saw the curtain type of belt with velvet. Other than this two nothing special.

    5. bloom says:

I like Li Bing Bing’s dress (the top part only). I personally dont find anyone dress looked nice.
